Many classifications of goiter, n

non-toxic type produces symptoms
from direct pressure.
In' the toxic goiter we, find a
great yaiiety of Hymptoms. Many
times the young schoolgirl shows
nn unusual amount of activity with
it seemingly untiring energy. Again
the patient may Seek medical ad

beats too fast and there Is short

a peculiar sensation t of warmth
over the (mdy nnd. excessive prcs

skin surfdee. Some complain of
the knees going out from under
them. Practically nil lose weight
and experience a general weakness.
The protruding of the eyes is one
of the typical objective symptoms
of one of the toxic types. There
are also certain digestive disturb

The non-toxic goiter usually is
manifest early In life by a notice

frequently produces nn unsightly

Ihe extent that the removal of the
goiter Is desirable.
As In m ost d Iseases, there a rn
many causes of goiter. The en

Tt hns been found, however, that
