Four tart apples. cup sugar.
1-3 cup minute tapioca. 2 i cups
boiling water, teaspoon salt, 1

stir in tapioca. Cook in double
boiler until tapioca is transpar
ent. Add half the sugar. Pare ap
ples, cut In . halves and remove
cores. Arrange in' a. buttered bak
ing dish with tho cut side tip.
Sprinkle with remaining

pared tapioca and bake in ti mod
crate oven until apples are lender.
