One cup hot cooked rice, 2 table
spoons butter. 1 Vj cups milk, 2
tahtespodns flour, teuspon salt,
teaspoon pepper, 1 cup finely
chopped cold-holleii or baked ham.
4 squares oj hot toast.
Melt butter, stir In. flour and
slowly at 11 milk, stirring constant
ly. Season wil h salt und pepper
and cok rive minutes after boil
ing begins. Arrange toast 011 a
hot plaiter. Put a layer of hum. on
each piece of toasi, cover with a
laer of rice anil pour over the
cream sauce, tiarnim, wllh pars
