Walter Davtca was brought to the
hospital hero Into Saturday, from
hia homo ut Joseph sufferlnff from
an attack of appendicitis. Ho was
operated on and, according to lut
est reports, ho is recovering as
well as could bo expected.
Wilfred Davies, of Joseph, was
liero the last of the 'week, belnir

brother. Mr. Davies reports farm
ers In the. upper valley flection
busy with potuto digging and oth
er fall work. ..He states the potato
crop in that section of the country
Is very light this year, with many
of the crops making little better
than 15 sacks of salable potatoes
per acre.

were shipped from here the latter
part of the week. A number of
