er show came to a very successful
conclusion hist evening. A larre
crowd was in attendance to view
the flower displays, hear the prize
winners announced and the musical

were exceptionally good and the

Yesterday afternoon was fea
tured by several automobile coU
nsioiis but, tortunately. no one of
tie unwilling participants were
seriously injired.
An oeciot nt occurred near Htl-
ffi when a Chevrolet, driver un
known, hit a Kord, driven by
Ir. Young of Los Angeles, Calif.,
in a wooden bridge this side of
Kive Points. The cars were dam
aged slightly and Mr. Young re
ceived some minor Injuries. He
was brought to the hospital and
his wounds dressed.
Officers today are investigating
reports of an automobile accident
that is supposed to have occurred
yesterday near Kamcla.
Two Wrecks Ilciv.
The third collision happened -t
the intersection of Adams aven ie
and Second street when a Dodge
truck, carrying peaches and driv
en by A. L. Warf of Walla Walla
hit an Overland sedan driven by
J. K. Berry, of Wallowa. Minor
damage was done to the- cars and
licit her driver was hurt to any
extent. Mr. Warf, officers said,
had signified his Intentions of
paying for the damages.
The fourth smash took place
on Fourth street about 6 o'clock
I when cars driven by Fred
Hartman of Portland, and C?eorge
Lyman of La Grande, hit. No
occupants of the automohilrs were
hurt and slight dumape was done
to tho cars.
