of appeals ut Sun Krancisro fol
lowing a conviction hero In federal
court some time ago on a prohibi
tion charge, lost his action, accord-,

Neuner, United states district at
torney for Oregon.
Allen's sctitcuco and conviction
were sustained by the court of up-,
peuls which held that the offering
of an opportunity" for u person to
violate, the law wan not entrap
ment. Allen had been sentenced
to four months in the county jail
on a charge of violating the prohi
bition law, having been found
guilty of Hale and possession, lie
uppealed on the grounds of entrap
ment. "
The Allen case was turned over
to the federal authorities here by
the police department, who made
the arrest hiHt year.
