One pound mushrooms, f table
spoons butler, Vfe teaspoon salt, V4
teaspoon pepper. 2 tablespoons
flour, cup thin cream or top
milk, X small triangles of toast,
crisp springs of parsley.
Clean mushrooms and remove
caps. Cut both caps and steams in
thin slices. Melt butter, add mush
looms and cook five minutes. Sill

Six eggs. i cup sugar, 4 cups
milk, cup slin ibleil cocoanut.
teaspoon salt, I teaspoon vanilla.
Heat eggs slightly with a fork.
Heal In sugar and salt and vanilla.
Scald milk ami -our slowly onto
first mixture, beating constnnity.
Add cocoanut and turn into a but
tend mold. Tut mold Into a pan
of hot water and bake In a alow
oven until firm lo the touch. It
will take about 45 minutes to bake
the custard, Mo not let the water
surrounding the mold boil during
ihe baking. When a silver knife is
inserted inlo the custard and comes
out clean, the custard Is done.
