Donald chose for some of the ex
terior scenes one of the few spots
in America where snow may be
found the ear round.
His company, numbering thtrty
Ight persons, with three cats of
equipment, left Hultv w ood In the
middle of August. They had just
misled a heavy tall of snow al
Paradise Inn. the nearest Inhibi
tion to the majestic peak of
Rainier. The mountain was blank
eted with white far down Its slopes
and the motion picture company,
only three days from the semi-
tropical summer of Southern Cali
fornia, found itself within easy
walking distance of mid -winter.

National park readily cooperated
with the First National producer
as his company whs said to be the
first ever to use Mount Rainier us

to the great mines at Wallace.
Idaho, where several weeks were

the story among the mills, shafts,

K. Schertzinger. The cast includes
