The first major step In a con
certed campaign being launehed
by loeul interests to get President
Coolidge to reconsider Ills order
closing, the Ijl Grande land office,

At that time plans were laid for
a fight that will undoubtedly as
sume lurge proportions. Wires
were sent to Oregon representa

to Washington and asking them
to seek to hold up final proceed
ings until this arrived. This draft
was prepared last evening.

matter comes up.
