Sift flour once and measure; add
baking powder and' sli t . live or six
nines. Sift sugar, then measure.
( 'ream butter and sugar together
thuroughly, then 'add flour ami
milk alternately. little ut u time,
then flavoring; Fold in carefully

and bake in angel cake pan or two
loaf pans, forty to sixty minutes,
at Uftti degrees F. Add I cup chop

tine. ,
2 tablespoons cold water
3 tablespoons hot water
Wash and hull berries, sprinkle
with sugar, and let stand one hour;
mash and rub through n fine sieve;
add gelatine soaked In cold and
dissolved in boiling water. Set In
pan of ice water and stir until it
begins to thicken; then fob) in
whip from cream, pul in mold,
cover, park in salt and Ice, and
let stand four hours, ltaspberrles
may be used in place of strawber
ries. '

Heat yol k of eggs a nd wat er
until' thick and lemon-colored, ndd
sugar gradually, unn beat two min
utes. I ut corn starch In a cup
and fill cup with flour. Mix and
sift corn starch and flour with bak
ing powder and silt, and add to
first mixture. When thoroughly
.mixed, add whites of eggs 1mm ten
until siiff. all flavoring. Hake in
a shallow pan .cool, 'and shape,
using a small cutter.
