HOW?
The method of conducting these
services is of the Iloine Forces type.
These Ministers and laymen are not
inclined lo the belief that an outside,
sensational high-priced revivalist is
needed. The local members of the
Ministerial Association will conduct the
services, and the speaker for each eve
ning will not be announced in ndvanco.
Our own pastors are fully capable of
conducting these services with the aim
in view of bettering La Grande as a
place to live; of improving the state
of happiness of our men, women and
children.
There will be no vaudeville noth
ing said or nothing done except that
which will lead to tho ultimate j;onl
along dignified ways.
There will be special music each
evening. One pastor will have ex
clusive charge of the music and will
direct the congregational singin?. in
teresting, cheering, inspiring miisic for
each program. ,
We believe this policy will nvetwilh
general approval; wo lulieve- our own
forces can conduct this program in a
more lasting-good manner than any
hitth-piiced revivalist w might Ir.itijr
for the occasion.
WHY?
During the past few days we have discussed in these spaces
some of the reasons why a united Evangelistic campaign is
timely and needed in La Grande. Briefly we renumcrate them:
1. No city can be commercially where it should be until
its Churches are well patronized and the Spirit of Christianity
is practiced Socially and Commercially until men employed
and men who employ; everybody assume their share of clu'.rcii
responsibility and lives according lo their highest ideals.
2. No individual can be permanently happy without Christianity.
