passed on recently, was laid to
rest at Klgln yesterday afternoon
following ruueral services that
were held ut two o'clock In the
Methodist church. Mr. , Maslen
had been a resident of the Grande
Itonde Valley since 1S95, when he
came lo Oregon, and his passing
on took to the Great lleyond a man
held in much respect by his fel
lows, liked and mourned by a
large circle or friends.

Fayette City, Fayette county.
Pennsylvania and he resided on his
father's farm theru until IS It 5
when he came west.
He wns married lo Mary ller-

and to this union wus born eight
children, three Krven, Mary and
