Sticking It Through
;; To tho faint-hearted who beliove in ducking every time
ii piece of trouble shows up we respectfully cite tho people
of Wallowa county. They stuck it through. When finan
cial depression hit that agricultural county the people sur
veyed, the situation, ceased spending money, went to work,
paid cash for Immediate needs mid gradually wipod out old
store bills and other obligations.
'., This year Wallowa county has n good crop and her
people are in the right frame of mind to mako the most of
a happy situation. They will not join the riotous spenders
but will begin to Amass a resei-ve, for the past few years
taught them there are lean streaks as well as fat streaks
in every undertaking in life. (
How much better Wallowa county is off than many
oilier agricultural section can be understood by a visit
in that community. '
Communities arc like men. They can bo weak or be
strong under adversity, and Wallowa county has proven
herself strong.
The greatest mon in thV world havo not been without
reverses. But they have come up again, strengthened
