Nathan Leopold, Jr., and Richard Locb, in a statement
today, denied lhat the defense would seek to restore

BANK ROBBED OF $,090.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP). Four, armed men loday
held up the messenger of the Bank of Kenton, in the
outlaying Portland business district, and escaped in an
automobile with $2,090. They forced the messenger's
car to the curb with their car and then forced him to
hold up his hands, taking the money which he had col
lected from bank customers. The holdup was four
blocks from the bank. The rol)lers' automobile bore
a Washington license.
