EASTERN OREGON
Prominent ainon the social events

ding of Miss Mildred iRiddle, of May
Park, La Grande, Thursday to Wil
liam 0. Douglas, of New York City,
N. Y.
Reverend William Crosby Ross, of
the La Grande Presbyterian church,
officiated, using the beautiful ring
ceremony. The marriage was sol
emnized at high noon Thursday at
the home of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. C. M. Ross.
W$ . DouKlas was formerly a
teacSier in the La Grande high
school, teaching Latin and mathe
matics and is a graduate of the Uni
versity of Oregon. Mr. Douglas has
Harvey, for a few weeks. Mrs. La
Violett was a resident of this city
fur several years and is well ac
quainted here. She is returning by
way of Pasco, where she will visit
friends for a short time.
'Mr. und Mrs. Joseph A. Hill are
visitors in La Grande, at the Folev.
Mr. Hill is president of the Hill
Military Academy. Thev have among
local friends several boys who are
students at the academy.
