Ths problem of the engineers bus
been to discover how much dust must
be suspended in the air to form an
explosive mixture. While the lowest
limit was not definitely ascertained
it seems to range from a content of
from 7 to '.15 ounces- of dust pel
thousand cubic feet of air. The in
strument devised by Mr.-Price nnd
his engineers is to enable plant en
gineers to check up on this condition
by drawing the dust-charged ni,'
through a paper filter, and compar

with the amount of - air thus analyzed.
