seven passenger automobile, wreck
ed and spilled into the Spokane river
near here in a rod accident, was re
cently salvaged after- lying for four
days under 20 feet of water.
The car was little damaged, con
sidering its watery burial. Two
.-pare tires, in addition to the four
on the wheels, were fully inflated.
Upon removal of the spark plugs,
the air .still compressed in the cylin
ders shot water several inches high.
As a result of rolling about on the
river bottom, it was found that the
car had suffered breakage of the
fenders, Jig lits, top, and one spring,

physician. The Philadelphia Council tried to make it
illegal to bathe, between November 1 and March 15 and
failed by one vote. Virginia placed a luxury tax of $30
