Adam anil Eva," adapted for the
screen from the famous stage com
edy by Guy Bolton and George Mid
dleton, was directed by Robert (.?
ignola, creator of "When Knight
hood Was in Flower," also starring
Miss Davies. In support of Miss
Davies is an 'excellent cast, includ
ing such well-known players as T.
Koy Barnes, Tom 'Lewis, William
Norris, Percy Ames, Leon Gordon,
Luella Gear, William Davidson, ami
Edward Douglas.
One of the most striking and beau
tiful scenes over filmed is the Vene
tian carnival scene in "Adam and
Eva." This scene brings into play
all the atmosphere of Venice, includ
ing a festival barge, a fleet cf six
gondolas and a Venetian canal. The
carnival scene was taken at the
beautiful Ludilin's iRock Farm, near
Stamford, Conn., where the opening
scenes of "When Knighthood Was in
Flower" were filmed- Its construc
tion cost more than ?40.000. Dur
ing the "shooting" of this scene. Miss
Davies and her supporting players
wcrked four "days" from1 sunset to
sunrise, this particular action of the
pictures calling for nothing but night
pictures.
