Must Sign Permits
. According to Floyd Kendall, for

out permits to graze sheep on the
Umatilla National forest ranges are
requested before securing them, to
sign an agreement whereby the
shocp men or their employes shall
follow the forest service regulations
in regards to the use of the. open
method, of' harding, in rendering aid
in extinguishing any fires, repair
ing roads anil trails which are dam
aged by their stock, and to observe
sanitary requirements in the disposi
tion of carcases and the burial of
camp refuse. If violations of these
regulations are practiced the graz
ing permit will be forfeited

crossed safely by the pedestrian at
street intersections only, and with
the traffic. The streets must be
kept clear for movement of vehicles.
In preventing the play of children
on the streets, the responsibility of
parents is apparent.
"Safety of traffic is not a ease of
pedestrians against motorist or vice
versa. Each has certain well-defined
rights and each is here to stay. All
that is required is the exercise of
common sense and good judgment
on the part of both."
