Marshall Neilnn's first' production
in association with Ooldwyn. This
is "The Stranger's Banquet," from
the novel by Donn Byrne, which -Mi
Neilan purchased several years ajjo,
but which he found himself in a po
sition to film on;y since his recent
allinnce with the Goldwyn company,
heeding for its production all the
technical and mechanical facilities
that the great Goldwyn studios could
supply. It has proved to he Neil
an s most ambitious effort thus lar.
The picture is a colorful story of
the shipyards; of a girl's valiant
struggle to manipulate wisely the
fortune left hy her father and to
cany on his lifetime's work of build
ing ships.
Probably no more fnr.ious aggrega
tion of screen talenc has ever been
gathered together for a single pic

which numbers about forty, are of
themselves sufficient to draw big
audiences. Hobart Bosworth was
persuaded by Neilan to stop work
temporanly, on nis own pic.urcs m
order to assume the role of the old
ship-building genius, Shane Bualer
Kcogh. Claire Windsor, one 'of the
most beautiful leading women of the
screen, is seen as the daughter, De
ntil Kcogh. The always popular
Uockliffe Fellowes plays, opposite
Miss 'Windsor as Angus Campbell,
son of Keogh's best friend.
Then there is Nigel Barrio as
John Keogh, Derith's irresponsible
brother; Eleanor Boardman as his
extravagant, flirtatious wife; and
Thomas Holdinc as a fanatical la-
lot' agitator', who adds to Derith's
troubles at the smpyanls. Among
the others in the cast are Stuart
Holmes, Claude Gillingwater, Eugen
ia Besseror, Aileen Pringle, Philo
McCullough,, Dagmar Godowsky
Ford Sterling, Arthur Hoyt, Brin
sley Shaw, James Marcus, Edward
McWade, Tom Guise, Mnrgaret
Loomis, Hnyford Hobbs and Lucille
Ricksen.
Mr. Neilan was assisted in the di
rection by Frank Urson, who also
collaborated with him on the con
tinuity, and Tom Held. The photo
graphy was by David Kessom and
the art direction in charge of Ccdric
Gibbons.
'LIGHTS OF NEW YORK"
HAS LURE IN TITLE
Fox Special Photoplay Visualizeg
the Lure That Lies in the
.Metropolis Lights.
"Lights o New York," the Fox
special that conies to the Arcade
Theatre next Thursday has an ap
pealing title. - The first tiling vis
ualized by the reader is probably
Broadway and. Forty-second Street
and the ' myriad lights of Times
Square. j
But there arc other lights than
these in New York, and many of
them are even more romantic. No
eity in the world has the cosmopoli
tan touch of New Y'ork. One street
east of Broadway is Sixth 'Avenue,
wncre, as u. o Mclntyre, the la
mous chronicler, ot Manhattan says,
"the shiny -serge of Broadway meets
tne shiny silk ot Filth Avenue."
ruth Avenue itself gleams bril
liantly but not with the garish
lights of Broadway. There is a
soft subdued tone about the famous
Avenue and Its 'lights that thrills.
And there are few lovelier sights
than Fifth nvenue on a night when
l You Need a Medicine
You Should Have the Best
Have you ever stopped lo reason
why it is tlint so many products that
arc extensively advertised, all at mice
drtip out of sight and are soon forgot
tenf The reason is plain the article
did not fulfil) the promises of the
manufacturer. This applies more par
ticularly to a medicine. A medicinal
preparation that has real curative
.valuts almost nclls ilseU, ua like an
endless chain system, the remedy is
recommended hy those who have
been benefited, to those who arc in
need of it.
A prominent druggist says, "Take
for example Dr. Kilmer's Swamp
Root, a preparation I have sold for
many years and never hesitate to re
commend, for in rJmot cverv case
it shows excellent results, as many of
my customers testify. No other kid
cley remedy has po lar.;e; a Kile."
According to sworn statements an-1
verified testimony of thousands who
have used the preparation, the suc
cess of Dr. Kilmer's Swanii-RooL is
due to the fact, so many people claim,
that it fulfills almost every wish iit
overcoming kidney, liver and Mad
der ailments, corrects urinary trou
bles and neutralize the uric acid
which causes rheumatism.
