Alone; Main street the most con
spicuous evidence yesterday morning
was broken glass. Several panes of
(flnss were unable to withstand the
turv of the K"le. In the Schleur
building two windows upstairs were
blown out. In tlie Kumble building
formerly cccunied by T. E. Smith a
I pane of erlass in the front and one
on the side v.ns blown out. The
i Jennings hotel likewise suffered the
loss of one of toe big panes in an
upstaii3 window. The most conspic
uous damage along Main street was
the breaking of one of the Plate
I ulass windows in the Collinsworth
building.
Lip at the school house it was
found that several windows on th
south, side of tlie building were brok
en by the wind. W. G. lieith, a mem
ber of the board of directors, made
an inspection of the building at" i
time school took up and found that
the flue had been damaged by the
wind. It was decided that it woe
be unsafe to continue school unti
the flue was repaired. The old flue
will be removed and a new one con
structed on safer lines. It is -pecte.-l
that it will require several
days to make change.
