SPOKANK, Wash., Nov. 7. Plans
to immediately partially finance; the
construction of a Lincoln memorial
monument to In presented next

a committee from the Lincoln Civil
War Veterans Memorial associa
tion.
The committee, including members
of pokane patriotic and civic or-
i gau I nations, plans to raise $2,000
immediately for un initial payment,
and $10,000 by January 1, l!i23.
The total cost of tho proposed mon
ument is estimated at $115,000'. The
monument will be an 11-foot bronze
figure and wll bo located in a
parking strip at the intersection of
Main and Monroe streets.
. Alunzo Victor Lewis, western
sculptor, has been selected to de
sign the figure. K inland Cutter,
a Spokane architect, will assist in
designing the base on which the
figure will be mounted.'
It is planned to unveil tho monu
ment during the convention of the
Washington and Alasktt Civil war
veterans here, next June.
