"At the Stage Door," William Christy
Cabanrte's most recent screen produc
tion, released by R. C. Pictures ifnd
scheduled for exhibition at the Sherry
ineatie today and tomorrow.
The story, written by Mr. Cnbanne
himself, has to do with the adventures
of a girl who leaves her obscure little
New York State town because her
pi etty sister ,wins he'r beau and then
goes"1 to the "rhetropolis and joins the
chorus of a musical comedy. It is a
faithful picture of theatre life with
occasional glimpses ' behind the cur
tain and lich in the atmosphere of
the theatre that motion picture audi
ences like so well.
I.Mr. Cnbanne always has a happy
fuculty of casting the right types for
the right parts and he exercises it to
the fullest in "At the Stage Door." For
example, Billie Dove, one of the most
beautiful young women on the New
York stage, has the part of the girl
from the small town who comes to
the city and goes into the chorus. Miss
Dove has for a number of years bee'i
associated with the Ziegfeld organiza
tion and at present is appearing in
"Sally," the biggest musical comedy',
hit of the year. Iler own career runsl
