The I.a Crar.de hih school basket

day and icturned without the much
coveted bacon. The final ?ore re
sulted in 24 points for iKltjin to U'
for the locals.
The local team was handicapped bv
the small court and the fact that the
sidelines were not out of bounds, but
they also met a much stronger team
than they played here. Kljrin used the
same line-up but thev have improved
considerably anc put up a much bet
ter frame.
The iranic was hard fought from
start to finish, especially in the last
half when Elgin came from behind
and came back with a burst of speed
that won the fame -for them. Khelton
and Tucker were the outstadin;; stars
for the Elgin team, while the Lu
(irande boys, although playing v.el1
together, had no outstanding lumin

The line-ups were: La flrande
Metcalf, center; Hough and Lynch
forwards; Coker and Bean, guan's
Elgin Khelton, center; Gordon anc
Tucker, forwards; stoop and McAllis
