childs, a resident of Wallowa county
for nineteen years, died at Memphis,
Tcnn., January 3, VJVJ. His body was
brought home for burial. He was a
son of Mr. ajid Mrs. (!. J. Fuirchilds.
On December 21 he left Wallowa for
a visit to his old bome in Tennessee.
On the way he contracted a cold,
which developed into bronchial pneu
monia, and death followed. His par
ents, two sisters. Mrs. Cora Woife and
Miss Margaret Fatrehilds, and two
brothers, John and-Jake Fairchilds,
all of Wallowa, survived
