THREE POINTS IN THE
WAR,' CHEST. - . ,
No. 1. I.ast year Union
county was called on for about
$40,000 and subscribed $76,000.
This is about $!!6,000 more than
was- asked f of. Why not con
serve your dollars for i future
calls?
No. 2. By making one cam
paign a year, the work can be
made thorough and complete;
therefore all the people in the
county can be reached; your
neighbor will pay his share just
like you do, This distributes the
load.
No. 3. In order to put on a
campaign in this county, it re
quires 300 people working an
average of five days each, or a
total of 1500 days. This time
is donated. If they were work
ing at pay rate, each would av
erage $5.00 per day, on an av
erage, or $7500 in earning pow-
er, which is donated at each
drive. In the past, there has
been an average of 10 drives
per year, which would amount
approximately to $76,000 in
earning power that has been
donated, The war chest plan
will handle this entire year's
work for about seventy thou
sand less, in earning power do
