little "chesty'' (as they are (wont to
do over In the Wallowa country) and,

der, at the same time offering to come
to La Grande and "show 'em" free of
expenses, the proceeds to go to any
war cause the La Grande Moose might
select.. While the La Grande Moose
have traded their base ball suits and
ball bats for War Savings Stamps,
they concluded to "take on" their,
brothers from beyond the big hill, and
tho contest has been staged for Sun
day, July 28. To make the afternoon
moro- attractive (and as, there will be
no Speed 'Em .Up races this year)
those in charge have added a good
racing program for the afternoon, so
that the event promises to be one of
much amusement and well worth
patronizing. The entire proceeds go
to the Auxiliary, who have been so
prompt and efficient In providing the
fine and necessary outfits to all of
tho Union county men who have left
for the front. Your attendance will
help them continue this good work,
and you will enjoy the afternoon as
you have enjoyed few others.
