A lire was started in the timber
on the Joe Filmer ranch above Hil
gurd on Sunday, but owing to the
quick work of Mrs. Filner and her
son, the fire wag stopped after one
lurge tree had burned. .The tree fell
across a telephone line, doing slignt

was destroyed. - Mr. Filner was a-
way from home, having gone to
