Of The Contest
To promote efficiency and interest
in their work, The Observer is insti
tuting a number of rewards for good
work.
In this first Carrier Contest the
boy with the highest score will re
ceive a gold watch, the second boy
a silver or gunmetal watch, and every
other contestant will also receive a
prise, according to his record and
credits. '
First Carrier boys are seeing who
can get the largest number of sub
scriptions added to their list before
March 12.
Secon ' VJ?o will have the least
number of complaints from custom-era-Third
Boys can procure their sub
scriptions in any part of the city and
invade each others' territory, but car
riers will each deliver only on their
own routes. .
Fourth Boys do not collect any
money at any time. Subscribers
write their name and address only
on the orders.
