Two weddings occurred in Elgin on
Christmas.- The first recorded was,
that of John W. Keltncr of La Grande
and Miss Olhu Opal Hall of this city.
The ceremony was performed nt tho
home of the bride's parents, Mrs. Davo
Lynn, and was attended only by im
mediate relatives and close friends. -Rev.
L. F. Smith, pastor of the M, K.
church, officiated. An excellent wed- -ding
dinner followed the ceremony.
The groom is a highly respected resi
dent of La Grande, while the bride la ,
well known to all Elgin people, and
numerous friends join in wishing them
happiness and success.
The second wedding of the day oc
curred at the home of Mr. and Mrs..
Jackson Lewis, when their daughter,
Miss Lottie, was united in marriago to
Dr. Harley R. Smith of Enterprise.
Rev. F. L. Smith officiated, and only
immediate relatives were in attend
ance. The ceremony was performed 1
at 3:00 o'clock p. m., followed by on
enjoyable wedding supper. The bride
is the youngest daughter of highly re
spected ami pioneer residents and has
resided here practically all her life, al
though for the past several months
she has been employed at Enterprise. "
The groom is a successful young
dentist of Enterprise and has. an ex
cellent standing in that community.
They are receiving the good wishcs,of
