THE STAR THREflTRE
The prospect for another mighty
pleasing bill at the Arcade for the
regular Hippodrome Vaudeville Road
Show tomorrow night in very reas
suring. This show opens with Jack Bean,
the jumping marvel. This youngman
has some mighty clever tricks up his
sleeve when it comes to jumping.
Many of his difficult acrobatic tricks
are done through barrells perched on
top of each other two to four high,
jumping in nml out with ease and do
in;' single nnd double somersaults in
anil out of the barrels. The feature
of this act is a high double somer
sault blind-folded, from a pedestal in
to a barrell.1
George Stanley and Virginia offer
a comedy singing and talking act re
plete with comedy soncs and local
hits. Stanley and Virginia are not
only a duo of performers of great
ability, but singers and composers as
well.
"The Traveling Man's Dilemma" in
which the talented Schnltzs are ap
pearing with great success, is a com
edy sketch designed for luuirhinir pur
poses only. A small dog also figures
in the action of the piece-and adds to I
the merriment engendered. j
tj the big feature act of this week's
uiu is Kago ana 1,0. nago uciies cne
laws of nature and extricates him
self from every conceivable device.
One of his many tricks that is worthy
of mention, is his water tank trick in
which he makes his escape in full view
of the audience. His "Russian Tor
ture Board" is another new and novel
idea of his own and has created a
sensation wherever he has performed
this marvelous trick. While he doesn't
profess to be the Handcuff King, he
is willing to tackle arything that
looks like a handcuff so if you have
a- pair of handcuffs that you think
can't be gotten out of bring them
along and see what Raro will do with
them? It might be mentioned here
that this act played at the Orpheum
j 1 heatre at Seattle for a week.
In addition to these acts, the Ar
jcade orchestra will have another big
j overture on tap and a new Keystone
; Comedy will be shown.
