MONTANA UNIVERSITY OPENS
WITH LARGE ENROLLMENT
Miasoula, Mont, Oct. 1. With a
Jarge enrollment, considering war
time conditions, the State University
of Montana opened here today.
The four-quarter plan instead of
the two-semester system was ex
plained to the students today. The
first quarter ends Christmas.
. The university has five new mem
bers of its faculty. E. 0. Sisson, for
merly of Idaho, will be inaugurated as
president of the university Thursday.
