For the purpose of diversifying" the
entertainment provided by the pro
moters of Bluebird photoplays there
: will be presented at the Colonial thea
! tre on Friday and Saturday a rollick
ing comedy, spiced with excitement
and adventure, under the caption of
"The Clock." The star of the oc
casion will be Franklyn Fa mum, with
pretty Agnes Vernon his leading lady.
This combination of talent 'has fur
nished several Bluebirds of pleasant
recollection, among them being "The
Man Who Took a Ohance" and "A
Stranger from Somewhere," both
plays of comedy bent and of much the
same original type to be reflected in
"The Clock." Mr. Famum is a big,
handsome fellow of dashing demeanor
who frolics through situations that
would seem incredulous if other men
participated in them. But the Famum
way of doing things makes almost
any incident plausible and quite with
in reason. 'Miss Vernon is among the
prettiest and most talented of screen
queens and the combination makes for
ideal entertaining results.

sented at the Arcade today and to
morrow, when Mae Murray, the
charming Lasky-Paramount star, ap
pears in "The Primrose Ring." This
screen adaptation was made by
Marian Fairfax from Ruth Sawyer's
clever story.
In "The Primrose Ring" this cap
tivating young star is seen as a nurse
in a children's hospital, and as she
herself was once a crippled child, she
takes an unusual interest in them and,
in spite of the disapproval of the
head nurse and trustees, amuses the
children with thrilling fairy stories
of goblins, elves, plumed knights and
fairy glens.
The little nurse has fallen deeply in
love with the handsome young head
doctor of the hospital and when he
farces her to stop amusing the chil
dren with her wonderful fairy tales
she promptly resigns.
How matters are finally straight
ened out and how the primrose ring
is woven aibout the little nurse and
the young doctor, and the fairies go
mad with joy, is presented in a most
novel, charming and wonderful
fashion.
In the cast supporting Miss Murray
are Tom Moore, Little iBilly Jacobs,
Winter Hall and Mayme Kelso.

"The Follies of Life" is indeed a

the most popular attractions on the
