New York, Jan. 10. Within a short
time Ruby Robert Fitzaimmons, for
mer middleweight and heavyweight
champion, and James J. Corbett, for
mer heavyweight champion, are ex
pected to reach far back into history,
dig up the old moss-covered axe and
begin their feud right where it left
off.
The reason for the mediaeval incli
nation is found in an approaching
contest between Billy Weeks and Rod
dy McDonald, middloweights from
Canada. Each of them claims the Ca
nadian middleweight ' championship
and each has made something of i
record.
Corbett claims the equal of Billy
Weeks of Vancouver, British Colum
bia, does not live, while Fitz has se-

tles. Fitz isn't given to raving over
youngsters, but after having seen Mc
Donald in action the one-time cham
pion made the assertion that he ex
pected the youngster to capture the
middleweight championship.
Corbett already has made his state
ments regarding Weeks. Now he
wants to see the two youngsters get
together and decide who is the best
picker.
McDonald is a native Canadian.
Weeks was born in Boston and has
spent most of his time in western
Canada. McDonald lived near Cape
Breton in Nova Scotia. Each weighs
about 155 pounds in good condition
and each stands about 5 feet eight in
ches high.
McDonald already has appeared in
New York bouts, while Weeks started
from Canada to work himself to thh
settlement. '
Promoters already are angling for
a match between tho two, with prom
ise of success.

If the Cincinnati Reds don't kick
holes in all previous Ohio river rec
ords within the next few years it
won't be the fault of Larry Sutton,
recently signed by Manager Christy
Mathewson to scout for Garry Herr
mann's holdings.
Baseball men agree that Mathewson
made the wisest move since taking
hold of the Reds when he signed up the
foxy Sutton. Larry has a great rec
ord for ivory-hunting behind him.
Connected for several yenrs with tho
Brooklyn club Sutton dug up. some of
the most famous ball players in the
country.
Among tho Dodgers who got their
big league chances through recom
mendation of Sutton are Jake Dau
bert, Jeff Pfeffer, Casey Stengel,
Zack Wheat and Otto Miller. They will
made good, and they don't form tho
