pointed out, will give enjoyment to
many people, especially bird lover".
The letter continues:
"Winter feeding may be done in the
simplest ways, as by putting up suet
in small cans, in cocoanuts, or under
wire nettin. and bv scattering mixed
se-os on bare places; or more elab-
rate apparatus and more varied roous
mav be used.

W. H. Thompson I'lays Lighthouse
Keeper in New Triangle I'lay.
William H. Thompson, the veteran
player who already has made three
distinct appearances in Triangle
plays, will be seen again for one day
only, however, Thursday, at the Ar
cade, when he is presented by Thomas
H. Ince as the star of a heart interest
drama from the pen of C. Gardner
Sullivan, entitled "The Eye of the
Night." In this production Thomp
son plays the part of an aged keeper
of a lighthouse in a small village Dn
the coast of England, and his char
acterization is said to be one of the
most impressive of its kind ever seen
on the screen.
"The Eye of the Night" narrates
the simple story of a slavey's misdo
ing, of her struggle for existence
among the narrow-minded bigot3 in
the town and of her ultimate dis
covery that the old keeper of the
light the only mortal who forgives
. her sin and receives her into his care
is her father. It is made powerful
by the pathos of its situations and is
agreeably relieved by the intermit
tent touches of quaint comedy. One
of the valuable assets of the play is
the surpassing beauty of its scenes.
Among the more vivid scenes of
the piece are those which show a
fierce aerial attack on the village, the
war being an important incident in
the plot.

While here Mr. Bingham stated that
he is trying t get a road built to Ma
goon Lake from the Prairie City-Long
Creek road and believed that he would
be successful. This road would be
only two miles long and easily con
structed. A numlx-r of people have claimed
that should the lake be made so
thsy of access, it would spoil the fish
irg. Mr. Bingham has different views
on the subject. He wants to make it
et sy to get to the lake and then put
ir ten times as many fish each year
as has been planted in the past, and
ip this manner the lakes and streams
of the county can he made of value,
in thnt the tourists will come here for
the fishing. Both Magoon and Straw
berry Lakes could support a great
nirny fish and the state department
is glad to furnish them.
Both the forest supervisors are en
thusiastic boosters for the highway,
nnd will do nil in their power to as
sist and promote it. Government ni.l
should be forthcoming in this mat
ter, and it is possible that the forest
supervisors may greatly assist the
local organizations in getting it.
