BLANCHE SWEET IN" "PUBLIC OPINION.'
A '-. 1:
ish maid-of-all-work. and an anarch
ist, and now in "Public Opinion" she
appears as a trained nurse on trial
for murder.
How a sensational newspaper re
port prejudices the mind of the public
against this young woman who is ab
solutely innocent of all wrong, and
how her whole future happiness is
jeopardized by what is supposed to
have been one false step, is shown ir.
a gripping and entertaining manne.
One of the unusual features of this
striking photodrama, is the effortt of
the spirit of the woman the nurse is
supposed to have poisoned, to direct
(he hand of justice to.vards the guilty
person. Throughout the story until
the murderer is finally forced to con
fess, the spirit of the dead woman
tries to bring the guilty to justice. I
Miss Sweet is surrounded bv a cast 1
of unus'ia! excellence, including such
weli l.-no.vn players as Earle Foxe,
Edythe Chapman, Elliott Dexter, Tom
Forman and Raymond Hatton.
The production is one of the most
lavish the Lasky company has ever
maue. 1 he big court room scene is an
exact replica of that in which the
trial was held upon which the story is
based.
