land who complained of the lack of
signs in Union county how they had
wandered hither and there trying to
get to La Grande and once in La
Grande were unable to get out again.
From Meacham on there is a sign a
considerable distance before each
cross road with the letter "R" or "L"
telling you which way to turn to fol
low the Blue Trail whieh goes not only
to Portland but into the city where
garages and hotels are available
right up to the doors of these places.
Mr. and Mrs. Currey motored down
the Willamette valley as far as a
point 12 miles north of Albany, stop
ping at the principal cities ea route.
On the return they went an unusual
route, via Condon, being compictled to
cross the famous Rock Creek divide
between Condon and Heppner.
