H. B. Warner, the, English actor
famed for his "Alias Jimmy Valen
tine" on the speaking- stage, will make
his debut as a star of the screen Wed
nesday and Thursday when he is pre
upntpd hv Thomas H. Ince in a red-
! blooded f riangle-Kay Bee feature, en
itited "The Raiders."
Written by J. G. Hawks and direct
ed by Charles Swickard, under the su
pervision of Thomas H. Ince, the pro
duction is said to be among the most
likable of Ince's stories, and an es
pecially strong vehicle for the intro
duction of Warner to the photoplay
world. .
Warner plays the part of Scott
Wells, a junior clerk in a New York
, brokerage firm, whose' daring, com
bined with the deft handling of a col
;ossal business deal, forms the basis
I of the narrative. The role is one that
fits the actor's talents admirably.
The scenes are laid in New York
City and the Adirondack mountains,
and the action moves with great
swiftness. Many of the incidents in
the tale occur in the New York Stock
; Exchange, and for the filming of
I these an exact reproduction of the ex
I change was constructed one of the
(largest and most realistic sets ever
built.
Warner's leading woman is Dorothy
Dalton, who already has been seen by
Triangle patrons in "The Disciple"
with William S. Hart.

"The Love Girl" will be just as dis
tinctive among photoplays as "Shoes"
proved to he when recently shown up
on the Bcrecn. The latest Bluebird
will be exhibited at the Sherry thea
tre on luesday and Wednesday with
Ella Hall in the leading role, young
Harry Depp assisting nor in turning
the trend of the plot from impending
disaster to the happiest of endings.
Robert Z. Leonard has developed a
highly interesting story along entire
ly original lines, introducing a novel
trfeme to lend excitement and add sen
sationalism to an interesting love, nar
rative. There is every element to en
thuse all types 'of theatregoers, and a
splendid company of photoplayers ex
tract the last measure of possibility
for good entertainment from the
abundance of opportunity at hand.

Surgeons learned that the contrac

simple process with the knife. Silk
ligaments of heavy fibre are spliced on
the frayed ends of healthy tendons
in arms or leirs and then inserted into
the distal ends of deadened muscles.
Nature docs the rest when the in
cisions heal and healthy muscle
clings to the fibre of silk and grows
about it like vine tendrils.
