Would Destroy Liquor.
A, motion to be presented in mu
nicipal court seeking an order author
izing the destruction of 15 gallons of
whisky found b.v the police last night
in a trunk at the O.-W. R. & N. depot
on a baggage check taken from Cha.s.
Olds, was prepared today by City At
torney C. H. McColloch. Ac
cording to law five days' notice must
be given Olds and the railroad com
pany, before the motion may be ar
gued in court.
Olds, who was arrested by Chief
Jackson and Officer Oavinesa last
night, is still in the city jail. At the
time of (his arrest a suit case witii
two quarts of whisky and a number
of empty bottle containers, was
found in his room, but he denied the
ownership of the liquor. This morn
ing he asserted that the baggage
cheek taken from Mm had Leen given
him by an acquaintance, who request
ed him to bring the trunk f n m the
depot. The charge on whiah he is
now Ihield is that of maintaining a
nuisance.
District Attorney Goil.vi. declared
this morning that as fai a th! s'ne

was liquor in the trunk for Cnnstable
