Returning from a trip to Flora last
night W. II. Bohnenkamp and wife,
Jacob (lulling and Mrs. Jacob Gul
ling admitted that they had ex
perienced a hard trip. They left La
Grande several days niro and before
they had passed out of Union county
the storm overtook them. Thev jour
neyed the rest of the way to flora in
tha rain and storm and when they
reached the capital of Northern Wial

storm put in its appearance and at
least six inches of snow covered the
Flora country.

That Friday night has been chosen
as thi date of the next band concert
is the announcement from the Elks'
band management today. This de
pends upon suitable weather condi
tions however.
The Friday night concert if held
will take place at the Elks' club cor
ner. A plan is being discussed to
make that location permanent for
concerts. The porch, on the old build
ing may he enlarged to accommodate
the band giving a back ground sound
ing board as it wore, and the location
will keep the heavy congestion off the
main street. Ili.is admitted that in
case of fire while a band concret is un
der way, the main street congestion
would be a serious drawback were the
blaze in the heart of the city.
