1915 available today show there were
more marriages in England and Wales
than during any other year on record.
Births established a new low record
and deaths above the ten years' aver
age. -Marriages during 1913 totaled 28(5,
583. The year 1915 heat that by 37,
000. During the year the birth rate
was 21.8 per thousand population.
The number of births over deaths was
J52.201 as against an average of 378,
160. The last quarter of the year
showed the lowest numler of births
on record.
