to sliare the fortunes of a dissolute

and the power which Miss Frederick
puts into her acting, and so lasting is
the spell of her own imagination upon
the start that, when she worked her
self up to the psychological point at
which she portrays the cynical, heart
sore woman of the -world, it is hours
before she can assume the happy,
light-hearted ingenuousness of th
younger and less sophisticated girl.
Conversely, if she is playing Joan,
the girl, she cannot instantly change
to Valerie the woman. So it was tJhat
when she read the script of "Thj
Spider," Miss Frederick declared that
she could do her best work if she were
permitted to concentrate upon first
the one character and then the othflr,
and since the two never meet upon
the screen the suggestion was easily
agreed to by her director.
There is little doubt that the wis

Dear Mr. Editor I want to write yon

absolutely curing the diseased kidneys.
Patients having once used "Anuric"

It is no violation of screen secretf
