Portland, March 8. Steadiness was
the feature of the livestock market at
the Portland Union stockyards this
morning. The best hogs available
brought $8.25 without difficulty
and with a keener demand the top
would have been paid for thein. Re
ceipts were light consisting of only
5 cattle and 660 hogs, a total of 5
