a brief visit it will hardly be notice
able and no such quantity will be sold
as many have heretofore believed.; i
The hotel men are largely' .taking
a squaretoed stand on this question,

his favorite voteJ .is misleading and

Jr., who runs the Imperial. He said:

week. Miners will stand by ithe mine
run system, adopted in Ohio two
years ago, which caused a long strike,
and attempt to make a new scale on
that basis. Operators are not dis
posed to renew their fight against the
mine-run system, it is said. ;
An effort will be made to extend
the mine-run system to the West
Pennsylvania fields, the only part of
the central competitive field not hav
ing that system. The national coal
miners' organization, which is to hold
its hiennial convention in Indiannpols,
January 18, will renev its fistht in the
anthracite fielita for rprnimitfinn
the union check-off system.
