the Holmes residence on Washington
avenue Feb. 17 with a St. Patrick'
day color scheme predominant. It was
a jolly good party and was devoted
chiefly to playing Five Hundred. Mas

the theory of Miss Grace Fuller, sup
erintendent of women at the Illinois
state penitentiary at Joliet" Miss
Fullet is putting her theory into prac
tice, and with gratifying results.
