Ministerial Association Takes Steps
to Obtain Church Census.
Further plans to obtain a church
census of La Grande was taken at
the last meeting of th ministerial
association of this city. This was the
Kecond meeting since the organiza
tion was formed, and the report of
the organization and constitutional
committee wan received and accepted.
The ministers will have printed 2500
carb upon which to take the census,
and tho work will be prosecuted vig
orously. The ministers also outlined a policy
for future meetings, in which it will
be tho purpose to have each minister
prepare papers on biographies of
great preachers, each speaker to se
lect this own choice. These papers will
be read in the following order: Rev.
Clark of the Presbyterian - church,
Hev. Myeri of the Christian, Rev.
Lumber of Southern Methodists, Rev.
Fyke of the Methodist, Rev. Drahn of
the Lutheran and Rev. Close of the
Baptist.- A portion of the constitu
tion, showing scope and purposes of
tho association, follows:
