a La Grande standpoint, the M. I. A.

The boys were the main attraction,
of course. Upon the outcome depend
ed the championship of the two towns
nd, largely, the championship of
Eastern Oregon, though there remain

The crowd was so Immense that
sheer numbers shunted tt on the play
ing floor, a floor new to both teams
and they were : therefore on equality.
Yet this -was disadvantage to both,
equally, and the teams made the bent
of it, Except for some brilliant shots
for baskets, there was nothing to giva

mendous excitement that threatened
