Enterprise Man Disposes of His Wheat
For $1.25 This , Week,
.Two thousand bushels of wheat were
contracted this weak by 'Georgo P.
Faught to be soW to the Elgin For
warding company at $1.25 a bushel.
Delivery will be made next week, says
the Enterprise Chieftain.
Mr. Faught for several years has
been a shrewd seller of Ills wheat.
He has made a practice of holding
it in the fall, and waiting for ' the
high spring prices. -Thus he has got
20 to 25 cents a bushel more than
others who Bold at threshing time. In
the middle of last summer he conclud
ed wheat was going up before spring
and said- he would not sell until, he
fixed the price at $1.25. Thie price
was fixed the middle of the week and
he was called on to "come through."
Wheat has been close to $1.50 in
Portland! this week, and the larger
operators expect it to go still higher.
