Circuit court has resumed its June
term trials. .'.Today a jury is hear
ing malarious evidence in a statutory
case in which George Powell a rail,
roder is the defendant - Edna ,Mor-
ns is the complaining witness. Gor
don Morris, a 13 year old brother,
and Mrs. Laura Morris, the mothe.
pieceded the complaining witness, a
pretty girl of 19', to the witness, stand
this -morning. ' The defense has a
large number of witnesses to Intro
duce. Just what the defense will be
was not indicated until the state hao

Powell and District Attorney Ivan
