The program for the rose shows:
June 9-10-H-12. Only four days,
but each one will present attract

brief the details are innumerable:
Tuesday, June 9, noon: Arrival of
the Queen of Rosaria, with her Maids
of Honor, attended by a brilliant
Water Pageant on the Willamette
River, followed by the coronation of
the Queen; and the formal opening
of the Festival.
' Wednesday, June 10, afternoon:
Great parade of decorated automo
biles and other vehicles. -
Wednesday night: Grand Festival
charity ball, for tho benefit of Port
land institutions.
Thursday, June 11, afternoon: Tho
human Rosebud Parade, made up of
thousands of school children.
Friday, June 12, afternoon: Grand
civic, fraternal, industrial and mili
tary parade. The city and state have
been asked to declare a public holi
day for this event

Rose Exhibition: Among other
special features announced, will be
the annual competitive rose exhibit
at the Central Library building, by
the Portland Rose society, during
which an . entirely new rose will be
christened.
A novel feature of the Festival
will be the decoration of one of the
prominent city streets wltn thou
sands of the finest roses planted on
the parkway and in full bloom, while
running through the center , of the
street will be a line of booths, each
representing a prominent residence
section of the city, with an exhibit
of the most beautiful cut roses to be
ottained. It is estimated the blos
soms " entered in this competition
will run into the hundreds of thousands.
